Pararaki Stream

Located in The Wairarapa, Pararaki Stream is an exposed beach break with fairly consistent waves, though summer can be flat. The best swell comes from the south, and northeast winds create the ideal conditions. The beach offers both left and right-hand waves, with mid-tide being the prime time to surf. While not crowded, surfers should watch for rocks in the lineup. The cold water requires a wetsuit, but the uncrowded conditions make it a great spot for beginners.
