Blackies is a beach and point break in Orange County that works best during winter with west swells. The left-hand waves are most consistent at low tide when rising, but crowds and strong rips are common hazards. Ideal conditions require northeast winds, and the cold water demands a wetsuit. While beginner-friendly, its inconsistent waves and busy lineup make it a 2/5-rated spot.
