Located in Wairarapa, Riversdale is a beach break that delivers consistent waves year-round, ideal for intermediate surfers. The best conditions occur with southeast swells and west-northwest winds, producing both groundswells and windswells. Waves break left and right, peaking around high tide, but beware of strong rip currents. The water is cold, requiring a wetsuit, and the spot is rarely crowded, offering a more secluded surf experience.
