Located in Santa Barbara, Santa Maria Rivermouth is a beach break that works year-round with a mix of groundswells and windswells. The best waves come from the southwest, and offshore east winds create ideal conditions. This spot produces both left and right-handers, with mid-tide rising being the prime time to surf. While rarely crowded, strong rips pose a hazard, so caution is advised. The cold water requires a wetsuit, but the consistent waves make it a worthwhile spot.
