Texel (Waddeneilanden)

Located on the West Coast of the Waddeneilanden, Texel features a sandbar break with both left and right-hand waves. The surf is best in the summer when conditions align, though it can be flat at times. Ideal for intermediate surfers, the spot works well with north-northwest swells and east-southeast winds. The cold water requires a wetsuit, and dangerous rips are a hazard to be aware of. Rarely crowded, it offers a peaceful surfing experience when the waves cooperate.
