Appelviken

Located in Sweden's Kattegat region, Appelviken is a beach and reef break with fairly reliable waves, especially outside summer. The best conditions come from west-northwest swells and northeast winds, with surfable waves at all tides. Water temperatures hover around freezing, requiring a wetsuit, and the spot can get crowded, sometimes making surfing hazardous. Suitable for beginners, it's a great place to practice in Sweden's scenic coastal waters.
