Located in the Golfo de Nicoya, Boca Barranca offers a left-hand point break that works best with south-southwest swells and offshore east-northeast winds. The waves are suitable for intermediate surfers, though conditions can be unreliable. Water temperatures remain warm year-round, but surfers should be cautious of strong rips and occasional pollution. The spot can get crowded, so early sessions are recommended.
