Praia do Amado

Located in southern Portugal, Praia do Amado is a consistent beach break with powerful waves suited for advanced and expert surfers. The spot works best with northwest swells and offshore east winds, producing both left and right-handers. Tide has little effect on wave quality, and while crowds are rare, conditions can get busy. The cold water requires a wetsuit, but the uncrowded lineup makes it a prized destination.
