Mindelo

Located in the Douro and Minho region, Mindelo features a beach break with both left and right waves. The spot works well year-round thanks to windswells and groundswells from the west-northwest. Offshore winds from the east-northeast help create clean conditions. The water is cold at 13.5°C, so a wetsuit is essential. Expect crowds, especially on good days.
