Cape Barabar

Cape Barabar is a reef break in Papua New Guinea with consistent waves, ideal for intermediate surfers.

Located in East Sepik, Cape Barabar is a reef break with fairly consistent waves driven by north-facing swells. The best conditions occur with west winds, producing both left and right-hand breaks. Water temperatures remain warm year-round at 29.8°C, but strong rips make this spot dangerous for inexperienced surfers. Despite its quality, the area is rarely crowded, offering a more secluded surfing experience.
