Backyards

Located on Nova Scotia's East Shore, Backyards is a reef break that delivers fairly consistent waves for intermediate surfers. The best conditions occur with east-southeast swells and offshore north-northwest winds. Right and left-hand breaks form over the reef, with the left being more favorable. Surfers should be cautious of rocks, strong rips, and crowded lineups, especially during peak conditions.
