Located in Wellington, Te Ikaamaru Bay is a beach break with consistent waves fueled by northwest groundswells. The best conditions occur with southeast offshore winds, and the surf works well at any tide. Both left and right waves are available, making it suitable for beginners. However, the spot can get crowded, so arrive early for the best sessions. The cold water requires a wetsuit, but the scenic surroundings make it worth the trip.
