Located on Otago Peninsula, Long Beach is a beach break that works sporadically with no clear seasonal pattern. The waves are powered by groundswells from the northeast and are best when the tide is high and rising. Ideal wind conditions are from the south-southwest, producing both left and right-handers. This spot is beginner-friendly but requires a wetsuit due to cold water temperatures around 16.3°C. Crowds are rare, making it a peaceful surf destination.
