Whananaki Beach

Located in Northland, Whananaki Beach is a fairly exposed beach break with consistent waves from east-southeast swells. The surf here works well for intermediate surfers, offering both left and right-hand waves. Tides don’t affect wave quality, and offshore northwest winds create clean conditions. While not overly crowded, be cautious of strong rip currents. Water temperatures remain moderate at around 21.9°C.
