Mimiwhangata

Located in Northland, Mimiwhangata is a beach break that works best with northeast swells and south-southeast winds. The waves are fairly consistent and suit intermediate surfers, with both left and right-handers available. Best conditions occur around mid-tide on rising tides, though crowds are rare. Surfers should be cautious of strong rips and shark sightings in the area.
