Matai Wreck

Matai Wreck is a reef break located in Rarotonga, offering a left-hand wave that works best with north swells. The spot is ideal for intermediate surfers, with the best conditions around high tide. Offshore winds from the south enhance the waves, but beware of sharp coral and the wreck below. While not crowded, the inconsistent surf requires patience and skill.
