Frentzes

Frentzes is a lesser-known point break near Invercargill, producing peeling left-hand waves that work best with west swells and offshore southeast winds. The surf is inconsistent year-round, with a mix of groundswells and windswells. Ideal conditions occur around mid tide, and the spot rarely gets crowded. Surfers should be cautious of sharks, strong rips, and the cold 15.3°C water, requiring a wetsuit.
