Located on the Reykjanes Peninsula, Garur is a remote reef break that works sporadically without a clear seasonal pattern. The waves come equally from local windswells and distant groundswells, favoring west swells and southeast offshore winds. While not a true reef break, it provides beginner-friendly waves when conditions align. The frigid 5.6°C waters demand a wetsuit, and crowds are never an issue here.
