Located in Wilsons Promontory, Buckleys Reef is a sheltered reef break known for its consistent waves, especially with south-southwest swells. The right-hand reef break works best around high tide and is suitable for beginners. Offshore winds from the east-northeast keep conditions clean, though summer can be flat. The water is cold, requiring a wetsuit, and crowds can make it hazardous.
