Barra da Cuanza

Located in Angola’s Benguela region, Barra da Cuanza is a beach and reef break with fairly reliable waves, especially in winter. The best swells come from the southwest, while northeast winds create ideal conditions. This right-hand reef break is beginner-friendly but requires caution due to rocks, sharks, and other hazards. With warm tropical waters and few surfers, it’s a unique spot for adventurous riders.
