Located in Texas, Freeport Channel is a beach/pier break with east-facing waves that work best in spring and summer. The spot produces both left and right-hand waves that perform well at all tide stages, though conditions can be inconsistent. North winds create the cleanest surf, with windswells being more common than groundswells. Surfers should be cautious of strong rips, jellyfish, and occasional shark sightings, as well as crowds during peak sessions.
