Ghost Tree is a remote reef break near Monterey that rarely breaks but delivers powerful waves when conditions align. The best swells come from the west with offshore winds from the east-northeast. This spot is best suited for expert surfers due to its heavy conditions and hazards like rocks and sharks. Water temperatures stay chilly at 14.4°C, requiring a wetsuit. Despite its potential, crowds are virtually nonexistent here.
