Del Monte Beach

Located in Monterey, Del Monte Beach is a sandbar break known for its consistent waves, especially during winter. The best conditions occur with northwest swells and offshore winds from the south-southeast. Both left and right waves form here, peaking around mid-tide. While not overly crowded, surfers should be cautious of rips, sharks, and cold water requiring a wetsuit.
