Located in Sweden's Kattegat region, Mellbystrand is a beginner-friendly beach break with fairly consistent waves throughout the year. The best conditions occur with east winds and northwest swells, producing fun, manageable waves. Since the surf is tide-independent, sessions can happen anytime. However, this popular spot often gets crowded, so arrive early to avoid the rush. Cold water requires a wetsuit, but the relaxed vibe makes it worth the trip.
