Kings Reef is a popular reef and point break in Maui, known for its consistent waves fueled by north-northeast swells. The best conditions occur in winter, with south winds creating clean surf. The break produces both left and right-hand waves, attracting intermediate surfers. However, it can get crowded, and hazards like rocks, urchins, sharks, and strong rips require caution. Localism is also a factor to be aware of.
