Buffalo Bay

Located along the scenic Garden Route, Buffalo Bay features both beach and point breaks with waves that work best from southeast swells. The surf is inconsistent year-round, but offshore west winds create the best conditions. While beginner-friendly, the beach breaks can get crowded when the surf is up, so watch for strong rip currents. Water temperatures remain pleasant at 22.2°C, making it an enjoyable spot for all skill levels.
