Derde Steen

Located in Cape Town, Derde Steen is a beach break with fairly consistent waves, ideal for intermediate surfers. The best conditions occur in summer with southwest swells and offshore winds from the east-northeast. The waves produce both left and right breaks, but strong rips make it hazardous. Water temperatures are cold, requiring a wetsuit. Crowds can form when conditions are good.
