Located on the East Coast, Piccaninnie Ponds is a beach break that thrives on distant groundswells, especially from the southwest. The waves cater to intermediate surfers, offering both left and right breaks. While the surf is fairly consistent, summer can be flat, and the best wind direction is from the north. Be mindful of sharks and crowds, as this spot can get busy. A wetsuit is essential due to the cold water temperatures.
