Awatoto Rivermouth

Located in Hawkes Bay, Awatoto Rivermouth is a beach break with consistent waves suitable for intermediate surfers. The best swells come from the east-southeast, while offshore winds from the west-southwest create ideal conditions. The sandy bottom produces right-hand waves that work well at all tide levels. With fewer surfers and moderate water temperatures, it's a great spot to enjoy less crowded sessions. Be cautious of strong rips that can form in the area.
