Ixtapa Island

Located in West Guerrero, Ixtapa Island features an exposed reef break that works best during summer. The right-hand wave suits intermediate surfers and performs well at all tide levels. South swells and north-northeast winds create ideal conditions, though crowds and hazards like rocks, urchins, and sharks require caution. The warm tropical waters make it a rewarding but inconsistent spot.
