Sharkies is a reef break located in Sydney South, known for its consistent waves, especially from southeast swells. The best conditions occur around mid-tide, with both left and right breaks available. While summer can be flat, offshore west winds improve surf quality. The spot is beginner-friendly but has hazards like rocks, sharks, and strong rips, so caution is advised. Despite its challenges, Sharkies remains a less crowded gem in the Illawarra region.
