Riet River

Located in Port Alfred, Riet River is a renowned point break favored by advanced surfers. The waves are most consistent in winter, with the best swells arriving from the south-southwest. Offshore west winds create ideal conditions, though light onshore winds can still produce rideable waves. Surfers should be cautious of strong rips, shark activity, and occasional crowds. Water temperatures remain moderate year-round.
