Praia Formosa

Located in Madeira, Praia Formosa is a secluded point break with powerful waves that work best in autumn and winter. The southwest swells create both left and right-handers, while northeast winds provide the cleanest conditions. Suitable for advanced surfers, the break performs well at all tides but requires caution due to rocks. With few crowds, it’s a rare opportunity to surf in pristine Atlantic waters.
