Carcavelos

Located near Lisbon, Carcavelos is a popular beach break with waves suitable for all surfers. The best conditions come from west swells and northeast winds, working well at any tide. While the surf is fairly consistent, summer sees smaller waves. The spot can get crowded, and pollution is a potential hazard, so check conditions before paddling out. Water temperatures stay cold, requiring a wetsuit.
