Located in Nelson-Tasman Bay, Tahunanui Bar is an exposed sandbar break that delivers left-hand waves when conditions align. The spot works best with north-northwest swells and south winds, though onshore breezes can degrade wave quality. Water temperatures remain moderate at around 20.7°C. Surfers should be cautious of strong rips and occasional crowds, though the break rarely gets busy.
