Located in Charente Maritime, Pontaillac is a beach break that works best with west swells and northeast offshore winds. The waves are mostly right-handers and are beginner-friendly, though they can be unreliable, especially in summer. The water is cold, requiring a wetsuit, and the spot can get crowded.
