Hazard Canyon

Located in San Luis Obispo, Hazard Canyon is a reef break known for its fairly consistent waves, especially during winter. The spot favors northwest swells and southeast winds, producing powerful right-hand waves with occasional lefts. Best surfed around mid-tide, it can get crowded and features hazards like rocks, sharks, and strong rips. A wetsuit is essential due to cold water temperatures.
