The best conditions occur in autumn and winter, with north-northwest swells creating both left and right breaks. Suitable for intermediate surfers, the spot is rarely crowded and features offshore winds from the south. Water temperatures are cold, requiring a wetsuit, and surfers should be cautious of the reef.
