Located in Lisbon, Sao Joao is a beach/jetty break that works year-round with waves from both local and distant swells. The ideal swell comes from the west, and offshore winds blow from the east. This beginner-friendly spot produces left and right-handers, but it can get crowded. Be cautious of rocks and the cold water, which requires a wetsuit.
