Bruny Island - Coal Point

Located on Bruny Island's west coast, Coal Point features a mix of beach and point breaks with both left and right waves. The surf is fairly consistent, especially in autumn, with ideal conditions from southeast swells and offshore west winds. Best at mid tide, this spot is rarely crowded but requires a wetsuit due to cold water temperatures. Surfers should be cautious of rocks, sharks, and strong rips.
