Okiwi - Whangapoua Estuary

Located on Great Barrier Island, Okiwi features a beach break with consistent waves, especially during spring and summer. The best conditions occur with northeast swells and southwest winds, with the waves peeling to the right. Low tide with a falling tide enhances the surf, and the spot is rarely crowded.
