Tuapeka Point

Tuapeka Point is a secluded surf spot in the Chatham Islands, featuring both beach and point breaks that work year-round. The waves are powered by groundswells, with northeast swells producing the best conditions. Ideal winds come from the south, and the breaks offer both lefts and rights, including a left-hand point break. The surf is good at all tide stages, and the remote location keeps crowds away. However, be cautious of strong rips, localism, and shark sightings.
