Matingarahi Point

Located in Auckland, Matingarahi Point is a sheltered point break that works best during spring and summer. The waves here are primarily left-handers, formed by north swells and sheltered by southwest winds. While the surf is rarely reliable, it remains uncrowded even when conditions are good. The water stays pleasant at 22.7°C, but surfers should watch for rocks and urchins. This spot is beginner-friendly with consistent quality regardless of the tide.
