Nanwan Beach (South Bay)

Nanwan Beach, also known as South Bay, is a popular surf spot in southern Taiwan with a mix of beach and reef breaks. The waves are best during cyclone season, with the ideal swell coming from the southeast and north-northwest winds. The beach break favors left-handers, while a right-hand reef break adds variety. Surfers should be cautious of strong rips and crowded conditions. Water temperatures remain pleasant year-round at around 25°C.
