El Olon de Ilo

Located in southern Peru, El Olon de Ilo is a reef break known for its challenging waves, best suited for experienced surfers. The spot receives groundswells from the south, with ideal offshore winds from the east-southeast. Due to its remote location, crowds are rare, but hazards like rocks, urchins, and strong rips require caution. Water temperatures remain moderate year-round, making it a unique but demanding surf destination.
