Located on Lake Michigan, Racine features a beach break with both left and right-hand waves. The northeast swell direction produces the best conditions, though the short fetch creates windswells rather than groundswells. Intermediate surfers will enjoy the waves, but beware of rocks and crowds when it's working. Offshore winds from the south-southwest help shape the surf, but wetsuits are essential due to the cold 3.1°C water.
