Located in Northland, Tapuaetahi is a remote reef break that produces high-quality waves under the right conditions. The best swells come from the northeast, while south winds provide ideal offshore conditions. The break features both left and right-hand reef sections, with waves that work best on groundswells. Surfers should be cautious of submerged rocks, and while crowds are rare, the waves are best suited for experienced surfers.
