Napier - The Reef

Located in Hawkes Bay, The Reef is a lesser-known reef break that delivers powerful waves, especially during winter. The best conditions occur with northeast swells and offshore southwest winds, creating both left and right-breaking waves. Ideal for intermediate surfers, the spot is rarely crowded but requires caution due to sharp rocks in the lineup. The waves perform best around mid-tide, offering a mix of challenging and rewarding sessions.
