Gore Bay

Gore Bay in Kaikoura features a beach break with left and right-hand waves, fueled by groundswells from the southeast. The spot works best around high tide and is most consistent outside of summer. With offshore winds from the west, conditions are often favorable, though the cold water requires a wetsuit. While it rarely gets crowded, surfers should be mindful of occasional hazards.
