Mata Veri is a remote left-hand point break on Chile's West Coast, offering powerful waves for advanced surfers. Best in offshore east-northeast winds, it thrives on southwest swells and works at all tides. Though inconsistent, it rarely gets crowded. Surfers should watch for rocks, sharks, rips, and urchins.
